You can see pop sensation Zendaya at the Benton-Franklin Fair this Saturday at 1 p.m. on the Main Stage. But who is she? I'll tell you!

You probably saw her last on "Dancing With the Stars" where she won runner-up. That wasn't really fair considering she is actually a professional dancer! She's been dancing and acting since early childhood in her native Oakland, California.

She got her start in theater in Oakland and Berkeley. Her mother was a stage manager for the California Shakespeare Theater and Zendaya grew up in theaters helping out and studying acting. She was in an early Kidz Bop video (see below) before her big break on the Disney Channel in "Shake It Up." The success of this show and her singing performances made her a pop star. Her self-titled album recently came out and she's now a solo performer.

Her full name is Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman. Her dad has an African name and gave her one as well. The name comes from Zimbabwe and means "to give thanks."
