The incident occurred last Thursday, but now Pasco Police have released more details about this bizarre tale; where a man channeled his inner Jack Nicholson from The Shining. Recall the famous "here's Johnny!" scene where he was using an ax to split open the door where Shelly Duvall was hiding.

Police say around 11:30 PM, 56-year-old Michael Ray Cram of Pasco was apprehended after he allegedly used a wood splitting maul (like a sledgehammer with a wedge on the end for splitting logs) to 'open' the door to an apartment.

Police said they're still investigating whether he's the landlord of the property where the shed apartment sits and he wanted the occupants out; or he had a previous Domestic Violence relationship with one of the occupants and he wanted to 'revisit' that.

Either way, he is accused of using the maul to split open the door of the backyard building in the 1200 block of South 2nd.

He wrecked the door, despite the occupants inside telling him they were calling police. When officers arrived he was taken into custody without further incident.
