Spokane Wedding Crashers Steal Gifts, But Caught by Selfie

A couple crashed a wedding party in Spokane, took some pictures, ate some food, stole some of the gifts from the ballroom, and then were caught by police. Joshua and Sierra Davies were arrested after police managed to track them down with pictures that were taken of them at the reception according to news reports. First officers got a report that a box of cards and some gifts had been stolen from the party.  No-one saw the gifts stolen but the couple found two people they did not invite in the pictures of a "selfie camera". It was required when people entered the party to take a picture, and the cops used that photo to find the crooks.

The police tracked the thieves down to a hotel from the pictures and descriptions the couple gave them. The couple allegedly said to police that they stole because they were hungry and that they had seen the movie "Wedding Crashers" and thought it would be fun.
