Yak Vaxxer Gets $250K Shot of a Lifetime

Another week, another quarter-million dollar winner in Washington's vaccine incentive lottery program, and a Yakima man, Dillon T., is the latest COVID-19 vaccine inoculated recipient of $250,000 claiming his 'big check' at the state's Lottery office in Yakima.

The "Shot of a Lifetime" vaccination incentive program will pay out two more $250,000 prizes on the upcoming two Tuesdays, June 22nd and June 29th, then on July 13th a $1,000,000 prize will be awarded a lucky vaxxer.

If you've received your COVID vaccination, you are automatically entered in the database grand prize drawing for the cash prizes and a lot of other goodies. Currently, 251 prizes have been made available during the ‘Shot of a Lifetime’ drawing on June 15. Up to this point, just 116 of them have been claimed.

Also of note, just four of the 15 sets of Washington Guaranteed Education Tuition (GET) Units were claimed. These prizes are for vaccinated children 12-17 years old and they feature a single GET unit, which is the equivalent to one year of resident, undergrad tuition, and state-mandated feeds at a public university in Washington state.

Dillon T., like Lance R., the prior week's big winner, declined requests for interviews, but he did say he might make a statement later, stay tuned.
