Kennewick Police are looking for the person who shot a 27-year old woman Thursday night.

According to Police, they responded to the area of North Tweedt Street at about 8:45 pm for a report of a woman shot in the 600 block.

Upon arrival, officers located the victim who appeared to have been shot once.

Kennewick Fire also responded to the scene and transported the woman to an area hospital.

Kennewick Police detectives are investigating and believe it may have stemmed from a possible domestic violence incident.

As of this writing, the suspect was NOT in custody.

Police are continuing their investigation.
