Fortunately, nobody was inside, and Walla Walla County Deputies and Columbia Basin Dive Rescue were able to confirm there likely had not been anyone who got out while in the water and drowned. No bodies found anywhere nearby.

However, authorities are still trying to figure out who dumped a stolen car behind Ice Harbor Dam, and how they were able to get it where it was spotted?

Last Thursday, a report about the submerged car came in and Deputies, along with CBDR and other authorities began to search.

The harbormaster was alerted so he could make the appropriate changes to the locks, to allow the divers and recovery equipment to get the vehicle out.

No word on make or model, and although it was reported stolen out of Franklin County, officials didn't say how long it was missing or how long it had been in the drink.

Anyone who may have any information is urged to call 509-527-1960, Dispatch for Walla Walla County. All leads can be confidential.
