Smoke, mostly from California and Oregon fires, is filling Eastern Washington basins and making it impossible to see hills close by.

While the initial forecast was for clearing to start today (9/15), it looks like it will be Friday now. A chance of rain, some wind and we'll be all set for blue skies...that is unless the wind and rain are not strong enough or the wind shifts the wrong direction. Sadly, these storms that may help us out, could be much more severe along the coastal areas where they could really use a break. Initially the wind might hurt the fire fighting efforts, but hopefully there will also be a dousing rain to help out.
