Orcas are an endangered species in Washington state. That protects them from hunting and harassment. But new studies suggest the Puget Sound pods are doing just fine.

The Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission is meeting Thursday and Friday in Olympia to discuss the status of Killer Whales and Streaked Horned Larks on the endangered species list.

The Discussion will also entail the restriction of hunting antlerless deer,
even though they already cut down the amount of hunting days for youth, seniors and disabled hunters. The commission is also considering purchasing 3,600 acres for new wildlife lands.
