King County Sheriff's Department posted about the incident on their Facebook page.

Here is what the report says:

A woman returned to her car after a shopping trip in Shoreline and found someone passed out in her Jeep. The man had broken a window to get into the car, and there was glass on the ground alongside her vehicle. The Jeep owner yelled at the male, causing him to wake up and look around. He apologized to her before stumbling out of the car and walking out of the parking lot.

When deputies responded to the call on 09/25/2021, around 8:17 pm, they located the male suspect nearby based on the victim's description. When they approached the suspect, deputies noticed he smelled strongly of alcohol.

The victim positively identified the man and he was arrested. After being read his rights he was searched. Deputies found narcotics paraphernalia and four credit cards that didn't belong to him. A screwdriver and hammer were also located near the Jeep's broken window.

The male was booked into the South Correctional Entity (SCORE) Jail for one count of Vehicle Prowl in the Second Degree.
