It almost reads out of a Hollywood movie, a prison guard capable of shocking brutality.

Spaulding County, Georgia Sheriff's officials with help from the US Marshals Air Service and SWAT team members expedited two men Oct. 6th back to Georgia from WA state after a brutal beating investigation led them to here.

Dustin Wendelin, who is a corrections guard at the Washington State Pen in Walla Walla, and Pagan 1% Biker gang leader Charles Montgomery were both arrested Sept. 9th. Wendelin at the prison, and Montgomery at his home in Umatilla County.

The arrests stem from a May 1st violent assault at a bar in Spaulding County, GA, where the two suspects entered the facility, began to fight with two other men who were singing karaoke, and left one of the victims severely beaten. The man had a fractured skull and blood on his brain.

After an extensive investigation, it went cold, but Officials believed the two suspects could not be identified because they were from outside the area. Georgia and Washington officials say the Pagans 1% Outlaw Motorcycle Gang are known for perpetrating "acts of violence," as well as bombings, shootings, homicides and other "felonious" activities.

However, while witnesses could not ID the men, they were able to provide details about their attire that led Officials to believe they were part of the nationwide Pagan gang. This gradually led to them being identified and finally arrested.

The two are facing charges of aggravated assault, aggravated battery, as well as three violations of Georgia's Criminal Street Gang Act. Both are now being held without bond in the Spaulding County jail.

Officials say the two believed they wouldn't be tracked clear across the county, but they were.

Many are finding it alarming that a person who holds a position in the Washington State Penal system as a prison guard has turned out to be an alleged leader of this dangerous motorcycle gang.
