Unlicensed Teen Driver Flips Car After Speeding & Changing Songs

A teen with no drivers license was speeding & trying to change a song on her stereo when she struck a parked car and flipped over.

The incident happened on the 2200 block of W 8th Pl around 10 pm Wednesday night. The teen had parental permission to be driving the car, according to reports by police.

Kennewick police want you to remember:

"Distracted driving and speed are two of the leading causes of collisions. We want to remind everyone to put their phones down and follow the posted speed limits when driving. With school being out this collision could have been much worse if it had happened earlier in the day. Luckily there were no injuries last night."
