Having been the announcer for the Turkey Trot at Columbia Park for seven years in a row, I'm not sure what to do with myself this Thanksgiving. It was so fun pumping up the crowd on a brisk morning and then getting home to the wonderful smells of turkey in the oven and pie cooling on the rack. Yes, that means the Turkey Trot goes COVID style this year. That means you can still participate, you can still win prizes ($250 Amazon gift card) and you can still raise money for the Red Cross. What you won't be doing this year is gathering at Columbia Park.

This year, Turkey Trot participants will register online and run or walk the 1 mile or 5 k on their own, anytime 11/23-29. Gesa Credit Union is still the main sponsor and this is still one of the biggest fund raisers of the year for the Red Cross. Oh and yes, you'll still get your commemorative t-shirt, just in case you've been collecting them every year and want to add to your collection.
