Teen Trying to Pass Semis Kills Passenger in Hanford Reach Monument

An 18 year old driver tried his luck trying to pass semi tractor trailers when he crashed into an oncoming vehicle. The 15 year old girl in his passenger seat was killed and two people in the oncoming vehicle were injured and flown to a hospital. The 18 year old driving was taken to a hospital for his injuries. Hwy 24 and the Vernita Bridge are currently closed as of this posting.
