A press release was issued this afternoon and a Kennewick Police Department Facebook post was put up regarding multiple local law enforcement agencies banding together with the United States Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force to chase, hunt, corner and eventually capture a man wanted for murder in another jurisdiction. Here's the story:

This afternoon (4-14-20) at about 12;15 pm, members of the United States Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force located 28-year-old Marco Lombera in Kennewick. Lombera was wanted on an active felony warrant for Murder. The Marshals Service attempted to stop and arrest Lombera but after initially fleeing in a vehicle, Lombera eventually abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. With the help of area officers from Richland Police Department, Benton County, WA Sheriff's Office and Pasco Police we were able to quickly contain the area for a K9 track which led us to the area of 100 N Lincoln St. While checking the area officers located Lombera coming out of a residence in the 100 block of N Kellogg St. Lombera was taken into custody and later booked on the Murder warrant. We will be working with the Benton County Prosecutor's Office for any charges related to Lombera entering the residence on N Kellogg St. This is another example of the great teamwork we have with area law enforcement. In this incident, we didn't need to ask for help, based on the circumstances area law enforcement knew we would need help and just volunteered. Thank you to all of the citizens who provided information related to Lombera's possible location and direction of travel as well as everyone who remained out of the area so our officers could work.
