‘Suspicious’ Fire Destroys Unoccupied Home Near Benton City

Benton County Deputies and County Fire Units responded to a report of a house fire Monday, at 106 PR (Private Road) NE, about 3 miles North of Benton City.

According to Deputies, they referred to the house as "abandoned,"  no word yet as to the cause of the fire. It was put out, but the house is considered a total loss. Due to the fact the house was "abandoned" the circumstances to at least appear to be suspicious.

The investigation is underway, said Deputies. No one was injured or other property damaged besides the home.
