Kennewick police tracked and arrested an alleged perpetrator of burglaries condensed over a relatively small geographic area. He was plenty busy. From a KPD press release:

On 04/01/20 Kennewick police officers responded to multiple burglary and attempted burglary reports. The burglaries occurred at Scott’s Cycle (700 block S. Ely St) where the front door glass was broken out, and bicycles were stolen. The other investigations were at the following businesses.

*Attempted Burglary at Grandstand Auto Sales /400 block S. Ely St / property damage.

*Attempted Burglary at Blue Dog RV / 400 block S. Ely St / property damage.

*Burglary /Kennewick National Little League Field / 2600 block W. 4TH Ave – miscellaneous items were taken.

KPD detectives had already been investigating numerous burglaries over the past week, and information received during the investigation led to the location of a possible suspect.

Detectives and patrol officers went to the Motel 6 at 2nd and SR-395 and contacted a male suspect who was staying inside a motel room. During the contact detectives could see a bicycle that had been taken from Scott’s Cycles.

The suspect was detained and a search warrant was served. Detectives recovered a bicycle, baseball equipment and numerous car keys/fobs that had been taken from Leskovar Motors a few days earlier.

Detectives booked Dominic A. Martinolich (24) into the Benton County Jail for Possession of Stolen Property 1st and 2nd degree. These burglaries and others are still under investigation and more arrests are expected.
