Stuck Truck Loses Pushoff With Train in Benton County

Wednesday, a couple of young guys found out crossing railroad tracks without benefit of a designed crossing is not always easy.

Benton County Deputies received an afternoon call about a train vs. truck crash near Hover Park. It seems the two were trying to get to a recreation area with their ATV's and decided to try to cross the tracks.

They got stuck. Fortunately, they had plenty of time to get out before the oncoming train got there, but those big strings don't drop on a dime. By the time the engineer was able to get the train to a halt, it had pushed the hapless truck the length of a football field.

No word if any charges facing the two youth, but surely all parties involved are not happy...at...all.
