Snoqualmie Pass Blasting to Cause Delays This Week

If you are planning to drive over the pass to Seattle this week, be aware the WSDOT starts blasting and other repair work again on Tuesday. They will close the pass for rock blasting for one hour (7 pm to 8 pm) starting on Tuesday August 14th to Thursday August 17th. They will also have a number of slowdowns during the day due to other repairs according to news reports.

One job near Vantage started today to repair a piece of guard rail that was damaged in a fire. They will close down i-90 down to one lane on both directions between mile marker 136 and 137. The work is supposed to be finished by the end of August. WSDOT wants people to remember to give extra travel time to get past the construction.
