Shockingly, Pepperoni is NOT Our Favorite Pizza Order (POLL)

Who doesn't love pizza?  By definition, pizza is...

a flat, open-faced baked pie of Italian origin, consisting of a thin layer of bread dough topped with spiced tomato sauce and cheese, often garnished with anchovies, sausage slices, mushrooms, etc.

Pizza is always easy when it comes to any celebration because it can be made to everyone's taste, and it's easy to transport.

As a child, my birthday parties were held at our local pizza joint, which was Shakey's Pizza Parlor.  I remember you could view someone tossing the dough through a window. I still love Shakey's today.

There is a recent study by Zippia and Yelp,  ranking the most popular type of pizza ordered in all 50 states.  PLAIN CHEEZE pizza ranked first in 29 states.

Surprisingly, pepperoni was only top-ranked in Oregon and Montana.

Who knew chicken would be so popular as a topping?  Especially, barbecue chicken pizza...it was #1 in seven states:  California, Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Virginia, and Utah.

The only state where taco pizza is #1, is Iowa.

And, Hawaii's favorite type of pizza ISN'T Hawaiian. However, three other states dig it, Georgia, North Dakota, and New Mexico.
