Due to Covid-19 Selah Community Days will NOT be held this year. The event was scheduled to be held from May 13th through May 17th.

According to a release on Facebook, the event was canceled out of concern for the community's safety and because everyone would not be included to participate because of covid restrictions. The Selah Community Days Association (SCDA) organizers did not take the decision lightly.

The lack of progress on the vaccination forefront has given us cause to pause to evaluate the likelihood of gathering safely in close proximity. Blindly planning an event that hinges on factors outside our control has led us to cancel the event now instead of the last minute. This decision will allow ample time for participants to make alternative plans.

Growing up in a small town in Minnesota, I looked forward to our community celebration every year. Inver Grove Heights Days was a carnival of rides and a midway of games. Food vendors featuring corn dogs, cotton candy, and the local chapter of the Lions Club would be on the grounds feeding us.  I looked forward to IGH Days yearly.  I have such fond memories and loved catching up with friends.

Covid has done a number on local businesses, as recently, restaurants are able to operate at 25% capacity.  Can't wait for EVERYTHING to be open 100%.

Plans are for the return of Selah Community Days next year.
