I was lucky enough to get invited to the Seattle Seahawks Training Camp at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center in Renton, Wa. This place is really cool and we had a great time even though it was really hot.

We went on August 4th, the first day that Lynch, Kam, and Okung we all back in pads for the first time. A dj friend of mine, Dj DV 1, was spinning the music in the background. It was another sold out crowd of around 2,500 fans. Even with all those people, the bus ride in was fast and easy. They obviously have this down to a science.

The only suggestion I have is to build some kind of shade for the fans on the hill. The sun was really hard on everyone that day, and I saw people leaving after one hour because of the heat. The food selections were really good, the BBQ is what I had and it was bomb (awesome for old people). The snow cones are a must if it is hot. Also stop and check out the booths on the walk in, they have a wheel you can spin for your child to go to autograph alley and actually get autographs.

I thought the team would come mingle with the 12's after practice but only four players, not including Pete, signed autographs. They did seem to focus on the kids which was nice, but I expected a little more interaction from the players to the fans.

Pete Carroll did sign autographs down the whole line of people at the fence and really seemed to appreciate the fans. He even noticed my four year old daughter in the crowd, grabbed her pink Seahawks football, and signed it.

The funny thing is that Pete has always been one of the four or five people she always points out at games. Something tells me he may be the first one mentioned now.
