Kennewick Police now say this man has been identified, but didn't release any further details.

Through the weekend, cops were searching for this guy,  because he allegedly assaulted a Bent Franklin Transit bus driver. The stop location was not revealed, but was apparently somewhere in Kennewick.

The man boarded the bus, but attempted to sit and ride without paying any fare. When confronted by the driver, and asked to please pay or swipe his rider card, the man swore at the driver and hit her in in the face with a book he was carrying.

He then hurried off the bus and left. However, these images were left behind, and it's likely it won't be long before cops locate him.  Here's hoping they "throw the book" at him!

It didn't take long, say police, for a positive ID to be made from citizen tips after these pictures were released.
