The Seahawks have had one glaring problem this preseason and now with this trade today with the Jets, they might have fixed it.

They have not been very good against the run all preseason. Most times the running backs have been getting all the way to Earl, and that is a very bad thing. Pete and John knew that they needed some meat to stabilize the defensive line and now they have it.

The Seahawks traded local favorite Jermaine Kearse and a future 2nd round pick to the Jets for their pro bowl star defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson. Richardson was the 2013 Rookie defensive Player of the Year and went to the Pro Bowl in 2014 but has struggled since. He has had suspension issues for legal troubles and discipline and only had 1.5 sacks last year.

Sometimes a player just needs to be in the right environment to grow and succeed. The Seahawks might just be the right place for him. Go Hawks!
