No more pencils, no more books, no more teachers dirty looks, I'm bored to pieces and school's been floored in pieces. And I'm never going back to my old school. Or is this what eventually happens if you get caught smoking in the boys room on floor number two?

The new two-story Stevens Middle School in Pasco, where there will be no second floor smoking (it's a middle school, what's the matter with you?) is looking clean and pristine. The new school will be 106,000 square feet and serve approximately 1,000 students.

The kids attending Pasco's Stevens Middle School will soon have some sweet new digs just down the street on 22nd Avenue, so in order to move on to the next phase of the master remodeling plan, what you see above is the razing of the old school to make room for play fields that are part of the new spread in Pasco, those will hopefully be ready to go by August of this year.

Back on February 10th the building was given a fond farewell send off in anticipation of the wrecker coming in.

Go here to follow the time line for the completion of the project.
