It seems like there is a new scam to report every day, and here's the latest.

This report is coming from the West Richland Police Department:

SCAM ALERT

It is happening again. There is a PHONE SCAM going around where the caller is telling you that they are from Gesa Credit Union and there has been an unauthorized charge on your account. The caller will then ask for your credit card information (WARNING- do not give the information). The phone number that shows on your phone display is showing up as Gesa Credit Union, but it is not. Be aware that with computer technology they are able to show a different number than what they are calling from. Please be careful and spread the word to friends and family.

This scam is pretty slick so please be careful and check on your older relatives who are especially vulnerable to these types of scams.
