On my way to work this morning, I saw a Tri-City SWAT vehicle heading to Richland with lights flashing.

I'm wondering if they were responding to the scene of The Bridge Church in Richland earlier today, where Michael Miller (age 74) claimed to have a gun.

Officers from all three major police departments plus the Benton County Sheriff's department were on the scene with SWAT. Officers were trying to work with an older man, who was on top of a shotgun. They asked him over megaphone to move away from the weapon. When he allegedly aimed his gun at officers, two Richland cops fired two rounds at him. He was hurt, but survived. After receiving treatment for his injuries, he was arrested.

The street the church is located on will be closed for a bit today.
