Richland Nurse Arrested for Child Porn Charges

A man that works as a nurse in Richland has been arrested on child porn charges but that is not the most shocking part of the story. Darren Lee Ruddell is facing 6 counts of first-degree possession of depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, and one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance according to news reports.

The case started in November when Benton County police were alerted that child porn had been downloaded by Ruddell. They served a search warrant and found over 1,400 images and syringes filled with date rape drugs. They also found 5 images of children that were taken by Ruddell of children that he knows personally. Ruddell is out on 150,000 bail and will appear for his trial on June 6th.
