Pumpkin Carving Contest to Win Golden Pumpkin

Whether you trick-or-treat or not, the fun of Halloween will go on with a virtual pumpkin carving contest hosted by the Historic Downtown Kennewick Partnership.

The contest runs from the 22nd through the 30th.  Winners will be announced on Halloween.

Make sure you snag the perfect gourd and start carving your masterpiece.

When finished, post a photo of your carving skills on Facebook and/or Instagram.

There are two important details.  You MUST do the following:

1.  Tag the Historic Downtown Kennewick Partnership:  @Dwtnkennewickpartnership

2.  Use the hashtag:  #DKpumpkin2020

You'll be entered to win various gift cards & the Grand Prize, The Golden Pumpkin.

I called to inquire as to what exactly The Golden Pumpkin is.  Stephanie said, "It's a trophy to display, giving you bragging rights of winning first place."

There will be first and second-place finishers in three age groups:                                 5-10, 11-15, and +16-through adult.  Everyone is welcome to enter.

First-place winners will receive a Golden Pumpkin trophy and a gift card.  Second-place finishers will receive a Silver Pumpkin trophy and a king-size candy bar.
