Judging from the damage to his car, this suspect is lucky to be alive.

Kennewick Police say an early Sunday morning crash in Columbia Park could have easily killed an impaired driver.

Officers were called to the roundabout adjacent to the Playground of Dreams during the early morning hours of Sunday Nov. 8. They found this destroyed vehicle, and the driver, identified as 23-year-old Madyan Baker, at the scene.

Seems he lost control, and not only took out a light pole, but demolished his car. Police said he was "lucky to be alive."

Officers did not elaborate on why, but said Baker had already been trespassed from (forbidden to enter) the park. He's now in jail on DUI charges and was additionally cited for "wheels off roadway," which in this case is a vast understatement. He's also got a 2nd Degree Trespass charges now as well.
