When I was a kid, we rode our bikes with no helmets, drank directly from the garden hose and had a playground with no shade. WHAT? A playground with NO shade? That's right, we burned our legs on the metal slide once, then figured out to either wait until it cooled off in the evening or go home and put on long pants. But today's kids get it all. I'm not just talking about iPhones and video games. I'm talking about SHADE. Okay, enough of the sarcasm, because it is pretty cool that the playgound at Southridge is getting a cool structure. They're gonna put in smaller ones over some of the benches, too. They're gonna have to close the playground for a couple weeks during construction.
