A storm traveled through the area Friday evening with the first tornado touching down near Airway Heights just after 7 pm.

The second tornado was reported near Interstate 90 between Freya and the Dishman Hills recreation area. This one hit at 7:20 pm, with winds at 65 to 85 miles per hour.

The tornado overturned a few trailers at a mobile home park and several trees were uprooted. The Spokane Valley Fire Department responded to both tornadoes, where they found several trees had fallen on homes and cars.
