To say it's been a whirlwind at the mass vaccination site at the Benton Franklin fairgrounds in Kennewick is an understatement. This is all new to EVERYONE - a never before executed event. My hats off to every person involved, because after just a few days of operation, the lines of vehicles are moving very quickly - considering the circumstance.  According the to Pasco Police, the average wait time is about an hour but you should be prepared for longer waits  - make sure your vehicle has enough fuel, and bring something to snack on and drink. Also - be certain your arm is ready (jacket off and no long sleeves) and can easily be reached by medical staff.

You must be pre-registered and eligible for the Phase 1A and 1B-1 categories. You can find your phase HERE and make an appoint (if you're eligible) HERE. Appointments fill fast, so be sure to check often - if extra vaccine becomes available, more appointments will be added.  It is very important to bring your confirmation from both the registration and eligibility site. If you don't have these, you will be turned away. Also, this is is a drive-thru event - no walk-ups allowed.

The team of community partners are working hard to expand capacity and to administer as much vaccine as possible. The site plans to be open again next Tuesday through Saturday, it will depend on how much vaccine is allocated to the site, delivery and other factors.

Lastly, the community partners are asking for your patience. Again, this is new to all of us and everyone involved is working to improve the system as each day passes.
