67-Year-Old Arrested for Molestation of Elementary Student

Kennewick police say the suspect is known to the child, but did not say in what way.

67-year-old Gregory John Bocek was arrested at his home shortly after noon Monday in Kennewick, facing child molestation charges.

Police began to investigate after getting a call from the elementary-age child's parents. The child made some statements to the effect that Bocek had engaged in "inappropriate touching." Few other details were made available, due to the ongoing investigation.

Bocek is (as of Monday) on a 72-hour investigative hold in the Benton County jail. Officials have until 12:30pm Wednesday to formally charge him, or release him.
