Lying Works, Let’s Be Honest
I had my daughter in the studio with me today. It reminded me of how often I lie. People without kids won't get it, but good parenting requires a lot of lying.
For example, getting a three-year old to eat food can be challenging. In general, they don't like to try new things. We have a rule that she has to take three bites of something new before she's allowed to say "no thank you."
But what's A LOT easier is lying.
She likes chicken, bacon and BBQ, so everything is a form of those three things.
Fish sticks? Turkey? New kind of chicken nuggets.
Pot Roast? New kind of BBQ.
Ham? New kind of bacon.
Now she eats everything.
