It was first reported as a fire at a bakery behind USA Auto Sales and URM Cash and Carry, but then a residence Sunday afternoon.

(Information from KPD and Col Basin Scanner Feed and News)

A Kennewick Police Officer reported seeing smoke billowing upwards from a building in that area, and Kennewick Fire Crews responded. Upon arrival, they located the blaze, which turned out to be a residence at 620 South Garfield, with some of the fire in between the structures.

Reports indicate some smoke may have entered surrounding structures, but the bakery and other commercial structures were OK.  The residential fire is also believed to have involved a few vehicles as well. Some power lines in the area were also reportedly downed by the fire.

No injuries were reported, but the cleanup efforts took some time. The investigation into what caused the fire continues.
