Washington Mom Fakes Abduction From Pike Street Market

A woman from Lakewood was thought to have been abducted from her flower stand, but was found safe. It turns out that she staged her abduction because life was too hard and she wanted to leave her family without telling them.

Reports say the woman had second thoughts and boarded a flight back to Seattle where security noticed that she turned up on a missing persons list and notified Sea-Tech Airport and Lakewood police. They met her when she landed and took her into custody. After making several suicidal comments during her interview, they committed her to a mental health hospital for treatment.
