I find myself having this conversation often. Is Drake the best rapper out right now? My argument is always 'yes', though I often come across people who disagree. Sure, personal music preference does play a role on who people consider to be the best rapper out, so it's obvious that people would disagree with me. But if we look at the numbers and what Drake has already accomplished in such a short amount of time in his career, I think the answer is quite obvious.

Just to be clear, before you go on a disagreement rant, I'm not saying Drake is the best OF ALL TIME. He has more to prove, but so far, he's proven to  be the best at the moment and on his way to be one of the best of all time.

Drake proved to be one of the best when he surpassed Jay-Z with the most number one hit singles on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop chart. Jay-Z owned the chart with 11 number one hit singles throughout his career, Drake currently holds the lead with a total of 13 number one hit singles, and his career is far from over. Mind you, he only has 3 studio albums and is already ahead of the game.

Another fact to prove my point, this week Drake passes one of the biggest and most respected musical acts of all time. That's right, Drizzy now has more Hot 100 singles than The Beatles. "Tuesday" the single from his recent OVO signee, Makonnen, has entered the chart, and gave Drizzy (who's featured on the song) his 72nd Hot 100 placement. This puts him in the number 8 spot for most entries overall, behind Elvis, Lil Wayne, James Brown, Jay-Z, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, and Glee.

Drake's music career is far from over, and I think he'll continue to dominate the charts. You can argue with me all you want but numbers never lie. He's well on his way to be one of the greatest of all time.
