Summer is nearly here! After a snowy winter - people want to COOL OFF! (I may be speaking on behalf of all the people...)

There's a bill that could be passed within the next two weeks that would open the door for Pasco to build a new aquatics center.

Despite opposition from local politicians, folks are "cautiously optimistic."

Since 2013, Tri-Citians have voted against similar bills that would raise sales taxes to fund facilities four times. Pasco voters overwhelmingly supported it, while Kennewick and Richland opposition turned the tides.

The law would create a district (committee) which would come up with the plan for the aquatics center, to be voted on by city council.
