Washington state grows a lot of apples. We make a lot of money from apples. People in Cuba are seen as potential buyers of Washington apples (according to the Yakima Herald Republic).

After Fidel Castro passed away on Nov. 25, apple growers are hoping to sell more apples to the nation of Cuba!

An expert says we haven't been able to sell the apples because of a embargo. But now, that's likely to be lifted. Washington growers are hopeful Donald Trump will be able to renegotiate deals with Cuba, and allow for them to buy our apples.

How much money could we make? Hard to tell, but every little bit counts!
