A scary situation ended peacefully in Kennewick after a man refused to come out of a home in Kennewick yesterday

Summary of Incident:

On 02/16/20 around 5:00 pm, Officers were dispatched to a welfare check in the area of W 33rd Pl and S Conway Ct, Kennewick, for someone yelling into their phone. Officers arrived at the location and were made aware of an order violation that had just occurred. Pedro Duran went inside the residence belonged to his friends. The homeowner gave police permission to search the home for Duran. While checking the home, Police were made aware of firearms in the home in the location Duran was hiding. Police exited the home and began to contain the location.

On duty, SWAT was called to the location as Duran was continuing to hide himself in the home. After a couple of hours of hailing and attempting to contact Duran’s phone, a family member of Duran was able to get in touch with him. Officers were able to speak with Duran on the phone and Duran came out of the home without further issue.

Duran was taken into custody and booked into the Benton County Jail for the order violation
