One driver was killed last night in a massive 7-car pileup on I-182 near Road 68 in Pasco and the hit and run driver who caused the accident is now in police custody.

The accident happened around 8:30 PM Saturday night after a 2004 Chrysler Sebring hit the deceased driver's Jeep traveling eastbound on I-182.

Our sister station KNDU has informed us that the Washington State Patrol has arrested Eduardo Lopez, 22 of Pasco Washington.

He has been booked into the Franklin County Jail on multiple felony charges including suspicion of vehicular homicide, vehicular assault, and hit and run.

Lopez was driving a 2004 Chrysler Sebring when he struck a Jeep driven by Kimberly Youngblood of Benton City Washington.

Youngblood passed away at the scene of the accident.

The Sebring allegedly struck Youngblood's vehicle which in turn collided with five other vehicles traveling westbound. Lopez, driver of the Sebring fled the scene on foot, leaving behind the wrecked vehicle in a ditch.

Three other drivers where taken to Kadlec while another driver was transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.

The conditions and status of those drivers are unknown at this time.
