A Hermiston man is in jail accused of stabbing a woman Wednesday evening and then leading Police on a vehicle pursuit throughout the area.

44-year old Anthony Jones faces numerous charges including, first-degree robbery, assault, strangulation, and violation of a restraining order.

Hermiston Police were called to a local store for a report of a female who was assaulted and stabbed.

Jones was located and then led Hermiston Police officers on a pursuit lasting 45-minutes.

Jones eventually crashed his vehicle into a garage and fled on foot from the scene.

Hermiston Police officers located Jones soon after. He was taken into custody and booked into the Umatilla County Jail.

Jones faces many other charges. Police have added felony eluding, reckless driving, and hit and run to the already long list of charges.
