Harry Styles spoke candidly about his personal experience with therapy.

The "Watermelon Sugar" singer joked about the possibility of waking up in his 40s with mental health problems that stemmed from his past, in a new interview with The Guardian.

"I go," the 25-year-old replied in response to the question of if he has tried therapy. Although he does not attend regular sessions, it has helped him in the past. "Not every week," he clarified. "But whenever I feel I need it. For a really long time, I didn’t try therapy, because I wanted to be the guy who could say: ‘I don’t need it.’ Now I realise I was only getting in my own way... it helps."

This past October, Styles encouraged a fan of his to go to her regularly scheduled therapy session after she joked that she couldn't because of how much new music was being released and his upcoming tour. "Go to therapy, it's important," he replied to the fan on Twitter. "I'll wait for you. #WorldMentalHealth."

Styles is set to launch his 2020 Love On Tour worldwide trek in April, his second solo studio album, Fine Line, is out now.
