Hanford Workers Take Cover But it Was False Alarm

I don't honestly know enough about what goes on out in the Area to speak about it intelligently, but I did take the Hanford Bus Tour...does that count? LOL But I can only imagine what it must be like to be around so many dangerous things from chemicals to equipment to waste.

So when you get the notification to take cover and shelter in place, you damn well do it! The 200 west area got a bit of a scare yesterday (1/7) when workers were notified to act immediately for their own personal safety. According to reports, the issue was with a high release of chlorine, but after investigation it turned out not to have happened after all.

Personally, I love the smell of chlorine. Reminds me of fun swim days when I was a kid. But that's happy chlorine, not the deadly Hanford stuff.
