Half of Granger Teachers Want Guns, Say They’d Feel Safer
With other school districts in the area allowing school resource officers (not police) to carry concealed firearms, Granger is set to review their gun policies on April 20.
After a staff-wide poll was sent out, with most people feeling they were safe in school. 55.7% felt they were safe from gun violence. When asked if they were allowed to bring firearms to school, 8 out of 99 respondents said they were "very likely" to bring them.
Results came back with a 53.8% slight majority of staff members feeling armed staff members in the school would make them more safe.
