Benton County Sheriff's Deputies are reminding drivers to use common sense when using GPS-guided navigators.

Although GPS can be VERY helpful in getting you from A to B (especially in unfamiliar territory) do exercise caution, especially at night.

Last night, deputies had to help a poor driver who was trying to get their rental car from Las Vegas back to Seattle. The unnamed driver was following their GPS so closely they didn't realize it had taken them off the road and into a vineyard.

The driver actually motored a number of yards between the wire and hanging grapes before realizing this was probably not the best route.

No word yet on how much damage was done to the car or vineyard, but the driver was OK, although upset.

Jeff Foxworthy once said you might be a Redneck if the directions to your house include the words "turn off the paved road."
