Washington politicians had a horrible time agreeing on the 2016 budget and most of the trouble was over bottled water.

To fund expenses that need to be paid (like schools and failing bridges), Governor Jay Inslee will allow a tax exemption on bottled water to run out. But opponents are calling it a "new" tax, or "raising taxes" because Washingtonians weren't paying the tax, and now they will be.

Regardless of which side you agree with, and setting the petty syntax argument aside, the truth is taxation and funding Washington's deficit is the big collision point for Republicans and Democrats.

But honestly, do we really drink that much bottled water?

Or is bottled water so necessary... and so expensive that paying more in taxes will hurt our families? Maybe... I don't know your family. My family just keeps a case in the minivan for emergencies.

I don't know much about the politics of the situation, I just know it's a really dumb thing to argue about!
