The official word from the National Weather Service is that smoke will be clearing this afternoon or evening and give way to a sunny day tomorrow! How great will that be!! The breeze we're getting right now could gust to 18 mph at times today and that's exactly what we need to blow this mess outa here. It smells smokier now that it has because the wind is swirling it around, I think. There's a 20% chance of showers before 11 p.m., so let's hope for the best. Any rain at all will help. You may want to replace the cabin filter in your vehicle. I've never done it an most people probably haven't. Youtube search your vehicle or check your owner's manual. I went to Auto Zone in Kennewick yesterday and they had a ton of them in stock, but lots of folks are buying them so call ahead. Try NAPA and O'Reilly's also. Driving in this smoke might also require an oil change earlier than usual and a new engine air filter (different from the cabin filter).
