Earl Thomas is Holding Out Until He Gets New Contract From Seahawks
Seattle Seahawks star defensive player Earl Thomas let the world know this weekend that he would be holding out until he gets a new deal from the Seahawks.
This comes at a bad time for the Seahawks and catches them slightly off-guard before official team practices start on July 26th.
Thomas wants his pay to reflect that he is arguable the best safety in the NFL. The highest paid player at that position is getting $13 million a year. Thomas currently makes about $10 million per year.
The Seahawks do have the capital to spend this season with $10 million remaining on the cap.
Do they want to pay another $3 million for Thomas, or are they looking to replace him or trade him away?
That is the $3 million dollar question right now in Seattle!
