Drunk Driver Spotted in Middle of Field, Lights and Engine Running

Early Sunday morning, Kennewick Police were conducting some emphasis patrols in South Kennewick, when they spotted a vehicle sitting out in the sagebrush.

Near the intersection of West 45th and South Ely Street, just west of Inspiration Park, this white truck was sitting out in the field, lights on and engine running.

As officers approached they found the driver, 30 year old Nathan Remillard, asleep behind the wheel. A field sobriety test quickly determined he was in no shape to be driving, and he was charged with DUI.

Officers did not say how he got out in the field, or why he was there. It's possible he was looking for a place to 'crash' and decided the middle of the field was best.
